That’s right.

Something what we consider impossible in the past is gonna be released next month.

Hitachi has announced that it will be releasing the Travelstar 5K500 which could cost a whopping $400 and will be expecting high demand for this high capacity storage.

High flyers in mobile storage hard disk has include Toshiba (320 GB) and Fujitsu (300GB).

Hitachi is also going to release a 400GB hard disk though which a $50 less than the 500GB.

However there’s some laid back to this.
The size of the 500GB is expected to be thicker by 3mm due to the additional platter installed.
Current hard disk uses 2 platters (plates for data storage).

But seriously, by the naked eye ….. 3mm is a minor factor and hardly be seen.

We await developments on the release of this ultra cool hard disk.

Ever get that feeling when you have so much data and suddenly one day your desktop pc or notebook computer fails to respond.

It sucks …… down on upside (reminds me of the last Soundgarden album).

Well now, we have the luxury of Knoppix Live, a linux distribution which can be a saviour to your problem.

Next question one will ask, ” I don’t have any experience in Linux, how to do?”
