2 Tools To Speed Up Time On Your Laptop (XP)
Filed Under (Notebook Tweaks) by Mohd Fauzi A Rahman on 05-11-2007
I’ve been receiving several e-mails from friends and users alike telling me that I’ve not covering enough contents for Windows XP.
Yes, Vista is the so-called current “HOT” operating system at the moment ….. but I believe majority of the users out there are still using their Windows XP operating system on their notebook.
This is the first of many new posts of pertaining optimizing your Windows XP notebook and I hope it will be beneficial to all.
Here are 2 tools which you might it useful addition to speed up your notebook.

MRU Blaster will remove your “most-recently used” records off your notebook. In terms of privacy, that’s a good thing. Well in terms of speed, it removes shortcuts of your most recently used files; which is also a good thing.
Shortcuts in the Windows system is one thing Microsoft is good about creating. But too many of those can nag and slag your system, not to mentioned your privacy.

One more item which I would recommend is CCleaner. It removes all those junk files that been hibernating and living inside your notebook. Futhermore, it has an “Issues” function which will check for errors that might occur in the registry. This application really improve my performance.
