Where’s My Laptop Radio……
Eversince Microsoft upgraded Windows Player 10 to 11, I been wondering what happen to my notebook radio tuner.
Though I seldom use it, I feel majority of the users out there may sometimes want to hear what’s on in the Internet radio industry.
I’ve been trying quite a few (Yahoo Music, iRadio Lite, AudioStreamer, Winamp Shoutcast, Radio Blog) but none of them seems pleasing and satisfying unlike my normal analogue radio.
Why do I say that, you might wonder?
To have a software that is light, able to record (like an analogue radio) variety of radio stations across the globe….. I wonder would I ever found one.
But a silver lining pops out and in front of my eyes I was introduced to Raima Radio.

The above screenshot is the interface of what is the next biggest thing for Internet radio lovers.
Not only it is light, various stations from across the globe, able to record just like an analogue radio tuner but it is free.
You can even tune in to Shoutcast stations that is available in Winamp. My favourite from Shoutcast has gotta be XRM Alternative…. it rocks.
From Raima Radio you can every genre you can find and from different countries. It evens tell you what’s the next song it will play, the artist and some other info like albums, track number etc.
What I recommend is that this is a software worth checking out and you can download it here.
