IE8 - Are You Ready?
As I was working on my Lenovo laptop yesterday (running on Windows Vista Home Basic) , I was prompted to install the new Internet Explorer 8 browser via the automatic Windows Updates. Well my question to install or not to install?
Well since its coming from Windows Update, I just install the updates.
Guess what …..
This is consider to be one of the fastest Windows installation update.
Well let me explain …..
Remember when the time you were prompted to update your IE browser from IE 5 to IE6 or from IE 6 to IE 7? It would take quite a while to download and update and install. By the time it ends, it tooks about 5 mins or so.
Well with IE8, since I’m upgrading, the whole process took less than 2 mins.
Let’s go through the enhance features of IE8. (This is Microsoft proclaims it would be)
- Browse with more privacy
- Get things done faster
- Keep up on what matters
- Visualize you search
- Stay more secure
- View sites with ease
So far it does improve in terms of speed, but honestly speaking I still prefer Firefox and Google Chrome.
Not that IE8 is lousy but with all the bad news surrounding the Internet Explorer, I will stick with the 2 browsers as mentioned above.
Maybe you have try it, share your comments on this blog with the rest of the world….. Happy browsing

I miss you! Haven’t seen you in forever!
I guess this is going to become less actual because of the world financial depression, what do you think?
