Artisteer : Theme Made Easy

Author: If you are a frequent visitor of my blog, you will notice the new theme design that I’ve applied in this blog.
And you might be wondering why I ditched the UDB Moneymaker theme which was doing quite well with this blog. Personally, I like the UDB theme till 2 days ago.
Well, to make it even super …. this theme is made by me; my first ever wordpress theme.
To honestly speaking although I’m a techie guy, I’m not well versed with PHP so how do I make this theme without having PHP Essential knowledge?
Simple, it is down with a software called Artisteer.
Artisteer is a software specialized to making themes in a snap. It can be you are designing a Joomla template, Wordpress template, Drupal, ASP pages or just the basic html, Artisteer has got the tools to make it done simpler with no coding at all.
I was quite sceptical but I decided to give it a go.
I downloaded the trial yesterday and by today morning ( a total of 3 hours designing) I completed my design.
To get things done using a new software which you did not have knowledge on that is fast.
Lets go thru the details ….
If you are familiar with Microsoft Office 2007 ribbion menu, then Artisteer is just as similar.
With building blocks embeeded, the design is merely clicks of buttons. Sometimes you might be needing to customize certain parts like fonts, width but most of the applications can be perform easily.

Thanks for the compliment.
Artisteer is indeed a good software and basically I just have a 2-column theme layout and further changes made using dreamweaver.
I’m not an expert in dreamweaver and it’s more of trial and error scenario along the way.
The tweak for me is to make the site presentable to viewers , and use light colours.
A friend of mine has just build a site using this software.
Really easy to use too.

Thank you for the article. I just made my first Drupal theme - it is so easy. I used free Artisteer to check the programm and I take the decision to buy it.
