Laptop Opinions ….. Windows Vista
Filed Under (Notebook Operating System, Notebook Talk) by Mohd Fauzi A Rahman on 19-12-2007
The few days has been dreadful ….. down with the dreaded flu again.
Well this time around, though I’m still suffering with the flu, I made a promised to myself “Keep on blogging bro; this time the flu ain’t gonna make you bedridden again!”
Guess what …. I lost my challenge to the flu ….Again!
Anyway this time around I’ll be posting on what I personally believe is still the talk of today’s users.Windows XP or Windows Vista?
Read more on the results ……
When you look at it in terms of convenience ……. clear cut winner Windows XP.
When you look at the vulnerabilities ……. it is Windows XP again.
Well, life explains it ….. users still prefer Windows XP though with the problems it faced.
The fact that it supports older hardware, less RAM usage and simply more compatibility softwares has always been the main reasons why users still stick to this vulnerable software.
Don’t get me wrong ….. I’m ain’t A Windows Vista promoter.
But eversince I started using Windows Vista on my Lenovo Y300 notebook about 6 months, I am becoming accustomed to this powerful software.
As a user, I did not have to think much about security as its predecessor.
In terms of interface customization, hey, the default looks “reasonable” …. not much things I need to complain about.
In terms of searching my files …… no complains; it is Fast and Furious.
Although I find Windows Vista still has lacks in supporting older softwares, for me it is still a great operating system to use.
It might take you a while and lots of frustration at first (it took me 4 months for me to actually like Windows Vista!) and finally you will get used to it.
When it comes to network connections, I do hope Microsoft will improve on that area.
XP connects to the internet faster and get caught with viruses and pests more quicker.
Then again, it’s up to you guys to choose to choose.
Voice your opinions in the comments column…..
This should be an interesting debate.
